Q1. What is OCTG?

OCTG is the acronym for Oil Country Tubular Goods. It refers to the tubing, pipe and accessories that are used in the production of oil and gas, and it encompasses both onshore and offshore production.

Q2. What is OCTG pipe?

There are three types of pipe that fall under the OCTG category; drill pipes (that turn the drill bit cutting the rock), casing (used to line the hole and stabilise the well) and tubing (that transports the oil and gas from the well to the surface).

Q3. What is pipeline?

Pipeline consists of the pipes and fittings used to transport oil, gas and water over long distances. They typically run from the source of the liquid or gas to a market area for consumption.

Q4. What is a line pipe?

Line pipes are the individual pipes used for the construction of pipeline. They can be welded or seamless and available with the ends plain, beveled, grooved, cold expanded, flanged or threaded.

Yes, you are welcome to enquire about additional information or images and it is at the seller's discretion to provide this. That being said, many sellers will include as much information as possible in their product listing, such as material certificates, photographs and inspection reports, to increase the competitiveness of their offering.

Q8. Do I have to organise payment and shipping myself?

No, your local MISI agent will facilitate secure payment between you and the seller and will work with you to organise appropriate shipping and logistics arrangements.
